On November 13^th, 2017, the signing ceremony for the cooperation on linking research between the Educational Testing Service’s (ETS) English Tests and China’s Standards (CSE) was held by the National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA) and ETS. Yu Han, NEEA Vice President, and Dr David Payne, ETS Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of the two organizations. Following the signing of the cooperation agreement between NEEA and the British Council on linking research between British English tests and CSE, the linkage between ETS’ English Tests and CSE is another joint research undertaking to promote the international coupling of China’s Assessment System of Foreign Language Ability. Dr Payne thought highly of the achievement of the construction of a national Assessment System of Foreign Language Ability in China and CSE, hoping to have further close cooperation with NEEA in the research field.
